FUNDAMENTALS OF FLORISTRY
Everyone needs flowers at some point in our lives - gifting, wedding and even funerals. This two day course will give you an overview of what floristry is and you will acquire the essential skills to create three popular floral design items for commercial floristry.
It is a great starting point if you have always been curious about flowers and want to learn with lots of hands-on activities!

Duration: 2 days (8.5 hours in total)

Learn through lots of hands-on practice and bring home three creations in a fun and interactive course!
Our goal is to share our processes and tips for flower buying and designing, pique your interest in floral design and deepen your understanding of color theory and design principles.
Funding and Course Fees
Course fee: $400
(No further government funding but full course fee can be paid with your Skillsfuture Credits)
Who should attend
Flower lovers, Florists, Aspiring Entrepreneurs, Professionals in hospitality, retail, events and wedding industry, with minimal or no prior experience in floristry.
Certification
Upon successful completion, learners will a Certificate of Completion issued in-house.
Learning Outcomes
- Select, care and properly use flowers and foliage in floral arrangements
- Apply core principles like color theory, composition, and harmony in floral designs
- Assemble wrapped bouquet, preserved flowers dome arrangement and table arrangements using proper tools and techniques

Sarah and her team were very interactive and skillful. You will feel the warmth of their presence once you step in the studio as they are welcoming and friendly. Even though it was in a span of 2 days, I have learnt many useful skills about flower arrangements and useful tips in handling flowers. Her flower designs are one to look out for if you are going for a classy or exquisite nature look for any significant events. Would highly recommend
